13 people arrested attempting to cross over into Iran

QUETTA: 13 persons attempting to cross over into Iran were arrested. According to the details, some 13 people including Afghan nationals were arrested from the Jiwani area of Balochistan attempting to cross into Iran.

The arrested people also include the Afghan nationals that aimed to cross over into Iran and travel to some other countries by using illegal means.

The 13 people were arrested from the Jiwani area of Balochistan where they were heading towards Iran using the sea-route.

The case has been filed under the Human trafficking and illegal crossover acts and the investigation has been launched in this regard.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of people attempt such crossovers every year.

These people aim to travel to Turkey and other European countries via Iran.

They opt sea route to avoid being captured by the coastal guards and the border security forces, however, they seldom escape from the eyes of the security personnel and get caught.

The political government, the security forces and the border administrations have advised people on many occasions not to travel by using such means.

Such people can get into serious troubles by the agents carrying out human trafficking.

Many people have lost their lives in some horrible sea accidents in the recent past.

Pakistan and Iran vow to strengthen the border security keeping in view the Indian-sponsored militancy in the region.

So, such travelers can meet serious troubles while crossing over for the anti-terrorism reasons.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of people eying for a work in European countries get the services of agents who collect hefty amount and push these innocent people to opt such moves.

Such illegal travelling can be restricted if the concerned departments and the authorities keep an eye on the travelling agents and take strict actions against the elements who carry out human trafficking.
