ISTANBUL: The peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Istanbul have been halted.
The pause during the talks has occurred amid the hostility acted by the Taliban on the Spin Boldak border in Chaman.
According to the sources, the Taliban-led Afghan forces launched attack on the Spin Boldak Border and shot at the Pakistan’s territory with heavy weapons.
The hostility was carried out exactly when the peace talks between the delegations of the two countries were in process in Istanbul.
The delegations are establishing contacts with their respective governments now.
Pakistan straightaway put forth the evidences of the Taliban’s hostility on the Spin Boldak Border despite the ceasefire between the two countries.
The peace-talks were held on the request of the high officials of Turkey and Qatar.
The Interior Ministry of Pakistan has denied the allegations of the Afghan government and has stressed that the firing attack was launched from the Afghanistan’s side.
The Pakistani armed forces only responded in an appropriate manner to overcome the strain.
The ceasefire between the two countries sustains.
On the other hands, the Afghan officials have made false allegations yet again about the firing incident on the border.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has made it absolutely clear that any peace-talks will mean nothing until the militancy in Pakistan operated from the Afghanistan’s territory is not stopped once and for all.
Some thousands of innocent people have been killed in the militant-attacks carried out from the Afghanistan’s territory in Pakistan.
The Afghanistan and RAW-backed militants have not only the armed forces but also the innocent civilians.
Pakistan has affirmed that a solid and a decisive response will be given to Afghanistan if more attacks are launched in KP and Balochistan.
The Pakistani government has vowed that the security forces will launch attacks on the havens and the hideouts of the militant-groups deep inside Afghanistan.
