ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has carried out precise strikes on the Kharji Hafiz Gul Bahadur group’s militant camps located in the border areas of North and South Waziristan inside Afghanistan. Over the past 48 hours, militants operating from across the Afghan border made several attempts to carry out terrorist attacks inside Pakistan; however, all such attempts were successfully thwarted by Pakistani security forces.
In the ensuing counteraction, more than 100 militants were eliminated within 48 hours.
Earlier today, members of the Gul Bahadur group launched a vehicle-borne IED attack in North Waziristan, resulting in the martyrdom of one soldier and injuries to several others.
In retaliation, Pakistan conducted targeted precision strikes against the Gul Bahadur group, including its top leadership.
Based on confirmed intelligence, approximately 60 to 70 militants, along with key leaders, were neutralized during these operations.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has been repeatedly asking that Afghanistan’s government to neutralize the militant groups like TTP, BLA and Daish operating on their territory and launching attacks on Pakistan’s soil.
However, Afghanistan government has been bluntly denying those demands from Pakistan.
Ironically, the Afghan militants have launched attacks twice on Balochistan borders raising provocation between the two countries.
Moreover, the RAW-sponsored militants have also attempted infiltration from the KP areas aiming to launch attacks on the armed forces of Pakistan.
Pakistani security forces have given a befitting response to the militant attacks carried out from the Afghanistan’s territory.
The Pakistani government and the armed forces of Pakistan are standing firm with their resolve to protect their homeland as well as the lives of the people of Pakistan.
