Pakistan, Iran Resume Direct Air Travel After 60-Day Suspension

ISLAMABAD: Air travel between Pakistan and Iran has resumed after a 60-day suspension, following regional tensions and attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, officials said.

The first commercial flight operated by Iranian carrier Mahan Air landed in Islamabad with passengers on board.

Flight W51185 arrived from Tehran, marking the restoration of the air route between the two countries.

It was the first passenger flight from Tehran since February 26, according to officials.

Both arrival and departure operations on the route were resumed on Thursday, aviation sources said.

Gradual normalization of air services between Pakistan and Iran was indicated by officials.

The next Mahan Air flight on the route is scheduled for May 7, according to details provided.
