LAHORE: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in the second ODI against South Africa on Thursday.
Both sides made two changes to their line-ups. The Green Shirts brought in Wasim Junior and Faheem Ashraf in place of Abrar Ahmed and Hasan Nawaz.
Similarly, South Africa included Burger and Pieter Malan for Ngidi and Williams.
The home side had won the first match by two wickets. South Africa will look to level the three-match series, while Pakistan will aim for a clean sweep.

Pak vs SA First ODI
In the first ODI, Pakistan defeated South Africa by two wickets in Faisalabad. The hosts chased down the target of 264 runs in 49.4 overs with two wickets in hand.
Openers Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman put up an 87-run stand before Saim was dismissed for a well-made 39, trapped leg-before by Ferreira. Soon after, Fakhar Zaman was caught at long-on off Ferreira’s bowling.
Mohammad Rizwan played a superb knock of 55 runs — his 17th ODI half-century — and built a 91-run partnership with Salman Ali Agha, who top-scored with 62. Hussain Talat added 22 runs.
Earlier, the visitors were bowled out for 263 runs in 50 overs after being put in to bat first. Pretorius and de Kock hit half-centuries, scoring 57 and 63 runs respectively, while Matthew Breetzke (42) and Corbin Bosch (41) also contributed.
For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed were the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets each.
Earlier today, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the nominations for the Player of the Month award for October.
Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been nominated for his outstanding performance during the last month home three-matche test series against South Africa.
The shortlist also includes South Africa’s Senuran Muthusamy and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, both recognized for their consistent displays in international cricket.
