ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan has said that no compromise has been made regarding the health of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Ikhtiar Wali Khan focused on that the PTI founder’s health has improved considerably. He stated that all necessary medical examinations are being conducted to ensure comprehensive monitoring of his condition.
The medical process has been handled with seriousness and transparency. He revealed that, upon the request of PTI, doctors from Shifa International Hospital were also included in the medical examination process to ensure satisfaction from all sides.
“The most important priority is the patient’s health, and that is where our focus remains,” he said.
However, the issue of meetings with the PTI founder has sparked further debate. Ikhtiar Wali Khan clarified that there were no restrictions on meetings throughout 2024.
In this regard, the restrictions were imposed only after certain meetings were allegedly followed by the formation of a political narrative.
He suggested that what should have remained a humanitarian matter was given a political color.
He also referred to the involvement of the PTI founder’s sisters, stating that while family members have every right to express concern, the matter should not be politicized.
“Mothers and sisters are respected by everyone,” he stated, calling for sensitivity in handling such situations.
Ikhtiar Wali Khan advised that such statements should not be taken seriously. He further explained that during the medical evaluation of any patient, multiple tests are conducted as part of standard medical procedure to ensure a complete health assessment.
