New State-of-the-Art 120-Bed FC Hospital Opens to Public

TURBAT: To provide high-quality healthcare facilities to the public, a state-of-the-art 120-bed Frontier Corps (FC) Hospital has been completed and officially opened for the community in Turbat.

Established with the cooperation of FC Balochistan South, this modern medical facility will offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care services.

Patients will have access to advanced diagnostic services, including CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and other cutting-edge testing facilities.

To ensure specialized care for women and children, a dedicated department equipped with modern medical machinery and trained staff has also been established.

The hospital will feature specialist doctors across various medical fields ranging from general medicine to neurosurgery, backed by advanced operating theaters.

Additionally, the infrastructure includes an independent oxygen generation plant, a 1.1 MW power backup system, and a world-class sanitation and sterilization system to prevent infections.

The public has warmly welcomed the completion of this vital healthcare project in Turbat, highly praising the efforts of FC South and the Pakistan Army for delivering a major healthcare asset to the region.

Over the past three years, Balochistan has witnessed a concerted effort from both the provincial government and security forces to bridge the critical healthcare gaps in its far-flung districts.

Recognizing the lack of specialized infrastructure, recent initiatives have shifted focus toward establishing regional medical hubs, ensuring that residents of cities like Turbat, Khuzdar, and Gwadar no longer need to travel hundreds of kilometers to Quetta or Karachi for basic diagnostics.

Key measures include the upgrading of existing District Headquarters (DHQ) hospitals and the deployment of mobile health units to remote rural terrains.

Telemedicine networks have also been integrated across several facilities to connect local doctors with top-tier specialists across the country.

Furthermore, dedicated maternal and child health centers have been prioritized to combat high mortality rates, while public-private partnerships, alongside institutional support from the Pakistan Army and FC, continue to upgrade trauma centers along major national highways.
