QUETTA: A young man was shot dead near Al-Sikandar Hotel within the limits of City Police Station.
According to reports, armed assailants opened fire on Saith Khan Baloch, who was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The motive behind the killing is said to be an old enmity, while the attackers managed to escape.
After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family, and a scene of grief broke out when it reached home.
In a separate incident in the jurisdiction of Bari Jah police station in Jhal Magsi, a man identified as Chakar Khan allegedly shot and killed his daughter-in-law, Abida, over accusations of honor. The alleged accomplice also fled the scene.
Police shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem, and after it was returned home, the family was left in deep mourning. Further investigation is underway.
