Forces Repel Terrorist Attack in Khuzdar; 12 Terrorists Killed

QUETTA: Security forces successfully repelled a major terrorist assault in Naal city, located in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan.

A large group of terrorists belonging to the Fitna Al Hindustan (FAH) outfit launched the attack, drawing an immediate and powerful response from the deployed troops.

In the intense firefight that followed, security forces eliminated 12 FAH terrorists, while one brave soldier embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.

Overwhelmed by the stiff resistance of the security forces, the remaining attackers fled the scene.

The area has since been secured, and a comprehensive clearance operation utilizing both ground forces and aerial assets is underway to hunt down the fleeing militants.

The recent engagement in Khuzdar underscores the persistent threat posed by highly radicalized militant groups operating within Balochistan.

Over the years, groups like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), and various splinter factions—often referred to by state authorities under specialized designations like Fitna Al Hindustan—have continuously targeted state infrastructure, security personnel, and civilians.

These groups systematically exploit the province’s vast, rugged geography to establish sanctuaries, attempting to sabotage vital economic projects and undermine national sovereignty through coordinated guerrilla tactics.

A critical dimension of this conflict is the presence of foreign state sponsorship.

Pakistan has consistently provided dossier-backed evidence to international bodies demonstrating that these hostile outfits receive financial backing, advanced weaponry, and intelligence support from adversarial foreign intelligence agencies.

This external patronage is strategically designed to destabilize the region, disrupt the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and tie down Pakistan’s military apparatus.

Neighboring porous borders are frequently exploited by these proxies to safely plan operations and retreat after launching cross-border attacks.

In response, Pakistan’s security forces have shifted to a proactive, intelligence-based operational footprint.

Through synchronized ground operations, aerial surveillance, and kinetic strikes, the military has successfully neutralized high-value commanders and dismantled key logistics nodes.

This relentless counter-terrorism pressure has significantly degraded the operational capabilities of these militant groups, forcing them into defensive retreats.

The high ratio of neutralized terrorists compared to security casualties in recent encounters reflects the enhanced tactical readiness, superior training, and unwavering resolve of the armed forces to restore permanent peace and state writ in Balochistan.
