Kohat: Kohat city has been saved from a major catastrophe as the 1,500 kg of explosives have been successfully defused and neutralized.
A large-scale terrorist plan involving a vehicle loaded with explosives has been successfully thwarted, preventing massive destruction in the city.
According to DPO Kohat Shehbaz Ilahi, the terrorists had planned devastation using a vehicle packed with explosive material.
The vehicle contained 20 drums, each weighing 75 kg, loaded with explosives.
The DPO stated that a total of 1,500 kilograms of explosive material was neutralized and rendered safe.
He further explained that law enforcement attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle in the Chakarkot area.
During the attempt, the driver tried to flee and crashed the vehicle into a tree.
