QUETTA: In Quetta, unidentified assailants brutally killed a young man using a hammer in the CGS Colony area of Satellite Town and fled the scene.
According to police, the body was recovered and shifted to a hospital, where the victim was identified as Saifullah.
After completing necessary legal formalities, the police handed over the body to the bereaved family and launched an investigation.
In a separate incident at Lori Top, a tractor accident resulted in the death of one person and left several others injured.
Initial reports indicate that the victims belong to the Sasan area of Ziarat district.
Meanwhile, in the Tamboo area, a man allegedly shot and killed his wife.
Police stated that within the jurisdiction of the Manjhoshori police station in Goth Ghulam Nabi, a suspect named Ali Nawaz shot his wife, Shabnam, with a 30-bore pistol before fleeing.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s father.
Upon receiving information, the body was brought to RCH Manjhoshori, where due to the unavailability of an ambulance driver, the body reportedly lay on the floor for over three hours while bleeding.
Later, the police transported the body in a police vehicle to the Teaching Hospital Dera Murad Jamali for a post-mortem examination.
Public, political, and social circles have strongly condemned the negligence and incompetence of the RCH Manjhoshori staff, demanding immediate action from the Health Department of Balochistan and the Deputy Commissioner of Naseerabad.
