Khawarij Seize Vehicles, Forcibly Displace Families in South Waziristan

WANA: Militants of the Fitna al Khawarij in South Waziristan’s Wana region seized four vehicles belonging to the Tujikhel tribe and forced several residents from nearby mountainous areas, local sources said.

Sources said the group, identified as Fitna al-Khawarij, tightened control over the area and issued arrest orders against members of the Tujikhel tribe. The move triggered fear and panic among local residents.

Local sources said the militants carried out repeated actions against tribal communities. They said the aim was to pressure residents, restrict movement, and impose collective punishment.

Tribal elders expressed concern over the situation. They said attacks on peaceful civilians were deepening instability and uncertainty in the region.

Displaced families now face serious hardships, according to local accounts. They said many households struggle to access shelter, food, and basic necessities after being forced to leave their homes.

Observers said the tactics, including threats, forced evictions, and seizure of property, reflected efforts by the group to maintain control through fear and coercion.

They said targeting civilians and stripping them of basic rights was unacceptable under any circumstances.

Local sources also confirmed the seizure of four vehicles belonging to the Tujikhel tribe. Tribal elders described the action as outright looting and economic exploitation.

Residents and tribal leaders have called for immediate steps to protect affected families. They urged authorities to restore safety and ensure relief for those displaced.
