ISLAMABAD :  Following recent reductions in petrol and high-speed diesel prices, the government has now slashed the price of kerosene, offering further relief to consumers.

According to an official notification, the price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs 7.23 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs 311.73 per liter. The reduction takes effect from today.

Prior to this decrease, kerosene was priced at Rs 318.96 per liter. Just last week, the government had already reduced the price of kerosene by Rs 41.80 per liter.

The latest cut comes as part of the government’s broader announcement to lower petroleum product prices. According to the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 5 per liter, with the new price set at Rs 409.78 per liter.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has also been decreased by Rs 5 per liter, bringing its new price to Rs 409.58 per liter.

The consecutive reductions in kerosene prices are expected to provide significant relief to households in off-grid areas that rely on the fuel for heating and lighting, especially ahead of the winter season
