ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police has launched a special Mobile Facilitation Vans Service to provide essential traffic-related services directly to citizens across the city.
The initiative, which began on February 23, will continue until March 1 as part of a temporary but strategic public outreach campaign.
In this sense, specially equipped mobile vans will operate daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at various locations in Islamabad.
The initiative reflects a broader effort to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in public service delivery. The vans are not limited to traffic-related matters alone.
In this regard, among the services being offered are issuance of learner driving permits, renewal of driving licenses, duplicate license processing, general verification, issuance of character certificates, and registration of reports for lost documents.
These desks will operate from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, targeting individuals who may find it difficult to visit offices during regular working hours.
The facilitation points have been set up in key commercial areas, including F-10 Markaz, Super Market F-6, G-8 Markaz, and Jinnah Super F-7.
However, what happens after March 1 and whether this initiative could become a permanent feature of public service delivery in the capital remains a question many citizens are now asking.
