DHAKA: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who arrived in Dhaka earlier today for two day official visit, held a meeting with a delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the Foreign Office said.
The Jamaat-e-Islami delegation was led by Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammed Taher, Naib Ameer.
The ways to strengthen Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and the recent developments in the region were two key areas of discussion. The DPM/FM lauded the courage and steadfastness of the Jamaat leaders and activists in the face of hardships and difficulties.
Ishaq Dar, as part of his engagements, also held a meeting with a delegation of the National Citizen Party (NCP). The delegation was led by the party’s Member Secretary, Akhtar Hussain, and included senior NCP leaders.
The discussions focused on enhancing political cooperation and exploring ways to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, while also reviewing the evolving political and regional landscape.
