Iran-US talks to be held in Islamabad on Wednesday, US TV reports

ISLAMABAD: The reports emerging from international media indicate that Pakistan has intensified diplomatic efforts to facilitate potential talks between the United States and Iran, with discussions possibly scheduled to take place in Islamabad on Wednesday.

In this regard, as per the report, published by th CNN, Pakistan has accelerated its diplomatic engagement with both Washington and Tehran in an effort to help initiate dialogue between the two countries.

In this sense, the report further claims that an Iranian delegation is currently planning its visit to Islamabad, potentially as early as today.

The report adds that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf may also be included in the visiting delegation, particularly if US Vice President J.D. Vance travels to Islamabad.

Pakistani officials have not yet issued a formal statement regarding the reports. However, Islamabad has historically played a role in facilitating dialogue between nations during periods of heightened tensions, and recent developments appear consistent with that diplomatic approach.
