Iran launches missile attack on Netanyahu's Office and Air Force headquarters

Iran has claimed to have carried out direct missile strikes targeting some of Israel’s most sensitive and strategic locations, released by Iranian military authorities and reports circulating in international media.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that in the latest phase of what it described as “Operation Shaheed-e-Rahbar,” ballistic missiles were launched toward high-profile Israeli sites, including the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the headquarters of the Israeli Air Force.

In this regard, the Iranian officials characterized the operation as an important and successful strike against what they referred to as Israel’s “nerve center.”

The powerful explosions were heard near the Prime Minister’s Office in Tel Aviv. While initial reports suggested that Prime Minister Netanyahu was safe, there were claims of partial structural damage to sections of the building.

Israeli authorities have not immediately issued a detailed public statement confirming the extent of the damage.

Moreover, the several missiles were aimed at the central command and control facilities of the Israeli Air Force. Sources indicated that fires broke out in the vicinity following the strikes.

There were also unconfirmed reports of explosions in areas close to the headquarters of Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency.

Iranian military officials further stated that the operation demonstrated the alleged inability of Israel’s missile defense systems, including Iron Dome and Arrow, to intercept what Tehran described as advanced hypersonic missiles.

Tehran described the strikes as a warning and cautioned that any retaliatory action by Israel would be met with a stronger response.
