QUETTA: 10 Immigrants camps in balochistan have been closed and some 85 thousand Afghan nationals have been repatriated through the Chaman Pak-Afghan border.
According to the details of the official sources, 10 camps of the Afghan immigrants have been completely closed.
The closure of one immigrant’s camp in Quetta, two in Pashin, 3 in Loralai, ,3 in chaghi and one in Qila Saifullah has been carried out.
As many as 85 thousand Afghan immigrants were residing in these camps, who have been repatriated to Afghanistan.
Some 500 thousand Afghan immigrants were registered in the Commissionerate in Balochistan.
On the other hand, the crackdown against the Afghan nationals illegally residing in Pakistan is also being launched in Quetta.
3888 immigrants residing illegally residing in the city were arrested yesterday.
Pakistan has had a long-awaited demand of the repatriation of the Afghan nationals residing in the country for the period of over four decades.
Pakistani government has resolved that Pakistan wants a peaceful and respectable repatriation of the Afghan nationals keeping in view the ongoing security concerns and the law-and-order situation in KP and Balochistan.
Ironically despite the hospitality of decades, Pakistan has been victim on the militancy carried out by the Afghan nationals not only residing in here, but also the Indian-sponsored militants across the border.
Time has come when the Afghan nationals should return to their own country and play their part for the development of Afghanistan.
Once the Afghan nationals return to their country, Pakistan will look forward to promote the development infrastructure and employment the two remote provinces like Balochistan and KP.
It will also be ensured to no Afghan nationals makes an entry in Pakistan without visa and other necessary documents. The trade and the visits of the nationals of the either sides will be carried out through the corridors on the borders of KP and Balochistan only.
