QUETTA: Inspector General of Police IGP Balochistan Muhammad Tahir conducted an extensive visit to several police stations across Quetta on Thursday, including Airport, Shalkot, Kachi Baig, and Saryab, to assess security and administrative arrangements in the provincial capital.
The top police official was accompanied by DIG Quetta Imran Shoukat, SSP Operations Quetta Zia Mandokhail, and other senior officers during the inspection tour. DIG Quetta briefed the IG on existing security measures, personnel deployment, and overall operational readiness at the visited stations.
During his interaction with police officials stationed at the respective police stations, the IGP praised their professional performance and commitment to duty. Addressing the officers, he emphasized that the uniform and duty represent the pride of police personnel, and in the current challenging circumstances, their professional responsibilities have become even more critical.
Muhammad Tahir underscored that Balochistan Police is serving as the frontline force in the fight against terrorism, ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property while upholding the rule of law. He reiterated that public safety remains the foremost priority and reaffirmed that sacrifices will continue to be made for peace and stability in the province.
Commending the courage and determination of the force, the IG urged officers to maintain physical and mental alertness during duty hours. He reminded them to respect citizens’ rights and dignity, noting that high moral standards and positive conduct significantly enhance the department’s reputation.
The IG further added that police officers have consistently compelled anti-state elements to surrender, and that weapons are a symbol of pride for the force, used exclusively to combat criminals and strengthen peace and order in the region.
