Gwadar MPA Hidayat-ur-Rehman's son missing from Karachi

Gwadar: The son of Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and a member of the Provincial Assembly, has gone missing from Karachi.

In a concerning announcement on his social media page, the MPA revealed that his son, Abdul Basit, left his madrasa at around 5 PM today to return home but has not arrived yet.

Abdul Basit is a student at Jamia Masjid Anfiya Saudabad in Karachi. Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman also mentioned that his son cannot speak Urdu.

He shared contact numbers on social media and urged the public to reach out if anyone has any information regarding his son’s whereabouts.

It is worth noting that Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman is a widely respected figure, not only in Gwadar but across Balochistan.

He is known as a wise, influential, and prominent leader of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman is widely recognized for his strong political stance on the rights of the people of Gwadar and coastal Balochistan.

As the leader of the Gwadar Haq Do Tehreek (Give Gwadar Its Rights Movement), he led a powerful, peaceful mass protest against illegal trawling, border trade restrictions, and the marginalization of local fishermen.

His movement drew national attention and earned him significant respect across Balochistan as a voice for the oppressed.
