Gold Prices Rise Slightly in Global Market
Meanwhile, gold prices edged higher in international markets.
According to Reuters, spot gold rose 0.1% to $4,607.47 per ounce.
U.S. gold futures showed little change and stood at $4,661.20 per ounce.
Gold had climbed to a more than three-month high of $4,696.18 per ounce on Tuesday, according to the report.
The rise came after the U.S. Treasury announced measures to support longer-term bonds.
Kyle Rodda, a senior financial market analyst, said gold had maintained an overall positive trend in recent days.
He said gold could regain the $5,000-per-ounce level by the end of the year.
However, he said the outlook would depend on statements from the U.S. Federal Reserve and possible changes in monetary policy.
