Gold Market Trends in Pakistan: Past Three Months
Over the past three months, spanning from mid-May to mid-August 2026, the gold market in Pakistan has experienced a notable upward trajectory, closely mirroring strong global bullion trends and local currency dynamics.
The overall movement has seen gold prices steadily scale higher, moving from baseline figures earlier in the season to trading around the Rs. 450,000 to Rs. 460,000 per tola threshold by mid-August.
The domestic market continues to be heavily dictated by two primary factors: fluctuating international spot prices, which have hovered past historic milestones near the $4,300 to $4,400 per ounce range, and the local parity of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.
While the broader trend has been consistently bullish, daily local prices have seen regular short-term corrections.
Individual sessions routinely record gains or losses ranging from a few hundred to a couple of thousand rupees per tola, driven by shifting global investor sentiment and strong local safe-haven demand.

Global Gold Market Dynamics
Global gold prices have maintained strong momentum, trading near the $4,400 per ounce threshold.
This sustained bull run is largely driven by aggressive structural accumulation from central banks diversifying their reserves, persistent geopolitical uncertainties, and shifting expectations regarding major central bank monetary policies.
While occasional macroeconomic shifts and fluctuating real yields prompt short-term technical corrections, robust safe-haven demand and strong institutional interest continue to anchor bullion prices near historic highs, solidifying gold’s role as a primary global hedge against inflation and economic volatility.
