GHQ Hosts Grand Ceremony Marking One Year of Marka-e-Haq Success

RAWALPINDI: The special ceremony was held at General Headquarters on Sunday to mark the completion of one year of “Marka-e-Haq,” described by officials as a symbol of Pakistan’s successful national defense and unity during heightened tensions with India.

In this regard, the prestigious event took place in Rawalpindi with Field Marshal Asim Munir attending as the chief guest. So far, the chiefs of Pakistan’s three armed services, senior military officials, veterans, and other dignitaries also participated in the ceremony.

The event was organized to commemorate Pakistan’s response to what was termed India’s “false flag operation” in Pahalgam, followed by alleged unprovoked aggression against Pakistan. In this regard, the speakers at the ceremony stated that Pakistan’s armed forces responded with professionalism and determination while safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

During the event, tribute was paid to the armed forces for their preparedness, operational capability, and commitment to national defense. Meanwhile, the military leadership mentioned the unity shown by the nation during difficult circumstances and praised the sacrifices made by security personnel in protecting the homeland.

In this sense, Field Marshal Asim Munir focused on the importance of peace, regional stability, and national resilience. He stated that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining peace in South Asia but is fully prepared to defend itself against any external threat or aggression.

They added that Pakistan’s stance received recognition in various international circles for promoting dialogue and stability despite rising regional tensions.

The ceremony featured national songs, documentary presentations, and tributes to the armed forces, highlighting key moments related to Marka-e-Haq and Pakistan’s defense efforts over the past year.
