Forces Ready to Tackle Extremist Ideologies and Divisive Elements: CDF Asim Munir

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons, military statement said on Saturday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal was briefed on the formations’ operational readiness and key initiatives to strengthen combat preparedness upon arrival.

The Field Marshal observed field training exercises and an advanced simulator training facility. He praised the formations for their high professional standards and overall readiness.

Emphasizing the role of technology, he said modern warfare demands agility, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making.

During interactions with officers and soldiers, he lauded their morale and commitment to national security. He highlighted the importance of rigorous, mission-oriented training.

Munir noted that the Pakistan Army remains focused on internal and external challenges, including hybrid threats, extremist ideologies, and forces seeking to undermine national stability.

Earlier, upon his arrival in Gujranwala, the COAS and CDF was received by the Corps Commander.
