QUETTA: Severe rainfall has been forecast across southern parts of Pakistan, including Balochistan, raising concerns over flash floods and overflowing streams.
Between September 7 and 10, heavy rains are expected in most areas of Balochistan, southeastern Sindh, and the country’s coastal districts.
The situation could result in dangerous flooding, particularly in Lasbela and Khuzdar’s Kirthar Ranges.
According to meteorological reports, the current weather system has entered Pakistan from India’s Rajasthan state and is likely to impact Sindh, Balochistan, and southern Punjab.
The spell of heavy rain is expected to continue intermittently from September 7 to 10.
Additionally, parts of the Suleiman Range and southern Punjab may experience very heavy to extreme rainfall, which could cause increased water flow in rivers and streams.

So far , the Punjab and the Sindh governments have made the rescue departments to stand on alert. The flood-victims are being provided with the food, ration, tents and mats. Many international organizations have granted aid for the flood victims.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has advised the public to avoid crossing rivers and streams during this period.
