QUETTA: Six people have lost their lives in separate incidents of flash floods and lightning strikes as monsoon rains continue across various districts of Balochistan.
The ongoing spell of monsoon showers has drenched areas including Barkhan, Kohlu, and Khuzdar. The second phase of the monsoon system has now begun in the province.
According to the Meteorological Department, Barkhan received 17 mm of rain and Khuzdar recorded 6 mm since last night.
The department has forecast more rain in 20 districts of Balochistan from July 4 to July 8, warning of possible flash floods in streams and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
