QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan Zone has arrested two suspects involved in illegal currency exchange and hundi-hawala operations during a major crackdown carried out under the special directives of the FIA Director General.
According to an FIA spokesperson, teams from the FIA Composite Circle Chaman conducted the operations and apprehended two accused — identified as Haji Muhammad and Muhammad Hazrat.
During the raids, authorities recovered a large amount of foreign and local currency, including USD 22,000, 24,500 Saudi Riyals, 113,760 Afghanis, and PKR 495,000 from the suspects’ possession.

The FIA teams also seized mobile phones, transaction records, and other evidence related to illegal money transfers. The suspects reportedly failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the large sums of cash recovered from them.
