HYDERABAD: A catastrophic collision between a car and a truck on the Mehran Highway near Hyderabad on Friday resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, marking a grim tragedy for the region.
According to details provided by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the fatal accident involved a passenger car and a heavy goods vehicle. The crash proved instantly devastating, claiming the lives of eight family members. The deceased include two men, one woman, three girls, and two children, indicating a potential multi-generational family traveling together. Two other individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
Following the accident, emergency services rushed to the scene. The bodies of the deceased and the injured victims have been shifted to a nearby hospital for legal formalities and treatment, respectively. Law enforcement officials have taken the truck driver into custody as part of the standard investigative procedure following a fatal road incident.
