ISLAMABAD: The social media account operating under the name “Islamabad Post,” which was associated with misinformation campaigns and by India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has been permanently suspended from the social media platform X.
The account had been active for a considerable period and was frequently accused of spreading unverified claims, misleading content, and anti-Pakistan narratives.
The permanent suspension of the account has been welcomed by several social media users, analysts, and commentators who viewed the move as a positive step toward combating disinformation and promoting responsible digital communication.
