Erdogan Supports US-Iran Talks Through Pakistan

ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has once again expressed support for US-Iran negotiations mediated through Pakistan.

In his statement, Erdogan said that the Israeli government is unhappy with the ceasefire.

He added that Turkey is actively working to facilitate talks between Iran and the United States despite existing differences.

The Turkish President condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon, describing them as deliberate attempts to sabotage the ongoing negotiation process.

Erdogan also reacted strongly to insults made against him and Turkey on social media by “the killer of children,” warning that Turkey is not a minor state and no power can point a finger at Turkey or its president.

He further stated that Israeli strikes on Lebanon are undermining hopes for peace in the region, and called for full advantage to be taken of the ceasefire opportunity.

Turkey, he said, is continuing efforts to keep negotiations alive and extend the ceasefire.
