BIRMINGHAM: England have named a 15-member squad for the third and final Test against Pakistan.

England lead the three-match series 2-0. The final Test starts on September 9 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Sonny Baker has kept his place in the squad. Fast bowler Matthew Fisher has been dropped.

The squad includes captain Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Shoaib Bashir, Harry Brook, Sam Cook, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Emilio Gay, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Jamie Smith and Josh Tongue.

England won the second Test at Lord’s by 194 runs. The result gave them an unassailable 2-0 series lead.

England’s bowlers played a key role in the victory. They kept Pakistan under pressure throughout the match.

The win also lifted England to sixth in the World Test Championship standings. They moved above Sri Lanka.

Pakistan have arrived in Birmingham for the final Test. The team will take a rest day on Wednesday.

Pakistan will hold their next practice session on September 4 at 9:30 a.m. at Edgbaston.

On Tuesday, Pakistan’s team met King Charles at Clarence House in London. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi also attended the meeting.

Pakistan batter Babar Azam presented the king with a signed bat during the meeting.
