ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), on the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has approved the supply of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The Ministry of National Food Security has completed arrangements to ensure the provision of wheat to the people of the province.
Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain said the decision reflects the prime minister’s public welfare agenda in practical terms.
He stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive wheat at the official price fixed at the beginning of the year, adding that the federal government is taking continuous measures to ensure the availability of affordable wheat for the public.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed the Ministry of National Food Security on Wednesday to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO).
