Khubzdar — Provincial Advisor for Local Government and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Nawabzada Ameer Hamza Khan Zehri, held a special meeting with senior security officials to discuss the ongoing curfew and prevailing security situation in Tehsil Zehri.
The meeting focused on the challenges faced by residents, including mobility restrictions and the lack of access to basic facilities.
Security officials assured the advisor that the curfew had already been partially relaxed and would be further eased as the security situation improved.
They confirmed that the curfew would be completely lifted once peace and stability returned to the area.
Authorities also stated that the city’s main roads, which were earlier blocked due to explosive threats, were being cleared and would soon reopen for public movement.
Nawabzada Ameer Hamza Khan Zehri urged citizens not to pay attention to rumors and to remain vigilant against disruptive elements.
He said, “Zehri is my home, and the suffering of its people is my personal pain.
My top priority is to restore peace and address the difficulties faced by my people.”
He emphasized that the security forces were conducting operations solely against miscreants and that ordinary citizens would not be inconvenienced.
He further appealed to the public to continue cooperating with security institutions, stating that maintaining peace was a shared responsibility.
Nawabzada Ameer Hamza Zehri also announced that the repair and reconstruction of Zehri’s main highway would soon be completed to ensure smooth travel for residents.
Following the meeting, partial relaxation of the curfew was implemented in Zehri, which was welcomed by the locals, who praised the provincial advisor’s active role in resolving the situation.
It is worth mentioning that the security forces have launched massive operations in the Zehri area of Khuzdar killing a large number of Indian-sponsored militants.
