QUETTA : Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to public service, transparent governance, institutional reforms, and sustainable development, stating that the provincial administration is actively pursuing an agenda to improve governance and accelerate development across the province.
He expressed these views while addressing an important meeting of the provincial cabinet held on Friday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta.
The cabinet meeting, chaired by the chief minister, approved several key decisions related to public welfare, administrative reforms, the local government system, law and justice, development projects, health, interfaith harmony, and governance.
At the start of the session, special prayers were offered for security personnel and civilians who lost their lives in the line of duty for peace and stability in Balochistan and across the country. The cabinet prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and patience for their families.
Addressing the participants, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the decisions taken during the meeting would help strengthen local governments, improve the quality of public services, encourage investment, reinforce the rule of law, and speed up the development process in the province.
He emphasized that local government institutions are the foundation of the democratic system and said the provincial government would ensure that the upcoming local government elections are conducted with complete transparency and in accordance with constitutional and legal requirements.
The chief minister directed all relevant departments to complete administrative and legal formalities on time so that the people could benefit from an effective and functional local government system.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti further said that transparency, accountability, interfaith harmony, law and order, health, education, and the provision of basic facilities remain among the government’s top priorities.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the people, he said all available resources would be utilized to ensure development reaches every part of Balochistan and that practical measures would continue for the progress and well-being of the province.
