Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, reaffirmed the close friendship between China and Pakistan, emphasizing that both countries are committed to further enhancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad, Ambassador Jiang stated that China and Pakistan enjoy an exemplary relationship, and CPEC remains a key focus for cooperation and growth.
He noted that while China had provided 20,000 health kits to Pakistan last year, the number has now increased to 50,000, reflecting the deepening partnership. He added that the promotion of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) aims at shared prosperity for all.
The ambassador highlighted that numerous development projects have been successfully completed through China-Pakistan cooperation, and recent budget statistics indicate that Pakistan’s economy is on a growth trajectory, with positive outcomes reaching the general public.
Citing figures from the last financial year, Jiang noted a significant surge in trade between the two countries over the past decade.
He reiterated that through development projects, China and Pakistan also aim to benefit other nations globally.
