Chairman PCB to conduct meeting with PM

ISLAMABAD: Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi will meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tomorrow for an important discussion.

According to sources, during the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi will seek approval regarding Pakistan’s participation  or potential non-participation   in the T20 World Cup.

Sources claim that the issue of refusing to play the match against India in the World Cup will also be under consideration.

In this context, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the players today and took them into confidence.

He stated that the BCCI’s stance on India’s behavior is principled. He emphasized that the BCCI rejects the ICC’s double standards.

The players echoed Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi’s resolve.

They also expressed their best wishes for the team ahead of the tour to Australia.

It is worth mentioning that the ICC has already excluded Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup starting next month.

Scotland is the new time included in place of Bangladesh for the mega event.

The decision was carried out after the refusal of the BCB to send their team to Indian on the basis of security concerns.

However, the ICC turned down Bangadesh’ s demand and replaced the Bengal Tigers with Scotland in World T20 Cup 2026.

The sources have claimed that the BCB is to suffer a massive loss after their exclusiuon from the mega event.
