Chief Secretary Balochistan calls for speeding up uplift projects QUETTA: Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakil Qadir Khan presided over a key conference of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to review public welfare initiatives, the provision of basic facilities, and youth employment programs across the province. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary stated that the provincial government had introduced several welfare projects in the new budget. He emphasized that these initiatives would significantly improve the quality of life for the people of Balochistan. He added that the government is fully utilizing available resources to serve the public and address key sectors, including education and health. The Chief Secretary directed relevant authorities to immediately fill vacant positions in the education and health departments. He instructed all districts that have not yet advertised job vacancies to publish the advertisements by June 30. He stressed the need to reactivate non-functional schools and ensure the timely payment of salaries to all temporarily appointed teachers. Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan also ordered all Deputy Commissioners to upload price control data regularly through Google Sheets for real-time monitoring. In a firm directive on immigration, he stated that individuals without Pakistani citizenship or valid visas must be deported. The conference reflected the government’s focus on governance, accountability, and delivering tangible results in social development across Balochistan.
