BLA terrorist commander killed in Nushki was educated in Lahore on govt scholarship

NUSHKI: The designated terrorist group, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)—an Indian proxy—has admitted its losses of five terrorists in a gunfight with security forces in the Nushki area of Balochistan.

In the list shared on its official social media accounts, the name of Sufyan Kurd appeared—a graduate who studied in Lahore on a state scholarship at the University of Management and Technology. Ironically, Lahore is the capital of Punjab, whose residents are now being slaughtered in Balochistan by Indian-backed proxies.

Sufyan was sent by his parents from Balochistan to Lahore with hopes of a brighter, peaceful future through education. The government of Pakistan had granted him a scholarship and reserved seats under special quotas for Baloch students to uplift underdeveloped regions and integrate youth into national progress. He also served as Chairman of Baloch  Students Council at the university.

However, rather than using this opportunity to serve his country and his people, Sufyan chose the path of militancy. Rejecting the pen for the gun, he became involved in anti-state activities and was implicated in the killing of innocent civilians. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), however, continued to blame the state for his alleged enforced disappearance.

His journey from the classroom to the battlefield marks a heartbreaking betrayal—not only of his family’s dreams but also of the state’s trust and investment in him.

The Indian proxy confirmed that Sufyan was killed during a targeted counter-terrorism operation in Nushki.

His story is a grim reminder and a wake-up call for Baloch youth: the state is offering education, progress, and a place in the national mainstream. But when such chances are squandered in favor of extremism, the result is destruction—for the individual, for families, and for the region.

Lesson for Baloch Youth:

Sufyan Kurd had a chance to build, but he chose to destroy. The youth must choose education, development, and service, not the doomed path of terrorism. The state stands ready to support, but it cannot protect those who turn against it.
