DUKI: In a landmark tribute to courage and public service, the Government of Balochistan has officially renamed a prominent thoroughfare in Duki as “Dr. Mahnoor Nasar Road,” honoring the medical professional who survived a brutal acid attack while on duty.
According to an official notification, the road—formerly known as Haji Amanullah Masjid Road, located adjacent to Damani Chowk—has been redesignated to immortalize Dr. Mahnoor Nasar’s bravery, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the medical profession. The renaming ceremony marks a proud moment for the local community, celebrating a woman who turned personal tragedy into a symbol of strength.
Dr. Mahnoor was attacked with acid during her shift, an incident that shocked the region and highlighted the risks faced by frontline healthcare workers. Despite the grievous assault, she has continued to inspire many through her recovery and steadfast commitment to serving patients.
