QUETTA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, on Tuesday reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order in the province. He issued directives for heightened security and the adoption of modern technology to effectively curb criminal activities.
The IGP chaired a high-level review meeting via video link with senior police officers from all ranges at the Central Police Office. During the session, officers provided him with a detailed briefing on the prevailing law and order situation and the security arrangements currently in place.
The meeting was attended by top brass including Additional IGPs Javed Ali Mahar and Agha Muhammad Yousaf (CTC), DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi, DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, DIG CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya, DIG Special Branch Tahir Alauddin Kasi, DIG Crimes Branch Dr. Farhan Zahid, and AIG Operations Naveed Alam.
IGP Muhammad Tahir instructed all officers to further refine and improve security protocols within their respective jurisdictions. He emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property must be ensured through all possible means.
“The police force must adopt modern technology and take effective measures to curb crime,” stated the provincial police chief. He underscored the importance of diligence and proactive responsibility among all personnel to preserve public peace. The IGP also stressed the necessity of a swift and coordinated response mechanism to handle any emergency situation promptly.
The meeting concluded with a resolve from the command to intensify operational efforts and leverage technological advancements for enhanced policing across Balochistan.
Meanwhile the winter vacations in the educational institutes of Baluchistan have been announced.
The schools in the Winter Zone are to remain closed for about two and half months. However, the students of the Summer Zone will enjoy holidays for 10 days.
According to the details, the winter vacations have been announced in the two zones of the Baluchistan’s area.
