AC inspects incomplete road project in Sohbatpur

SOHBATPUR: Assistant Commissioner Sohbatpur, Saifuddin, paid an inspection visit to the under-construction blacktop (BT) road linking Goth Mehr Ali Khosa with surrounding areas.

In this regard, it was observed that the construction work on the road had remained suspended for the past five to six months.

The halt in work has caused a vital inconvenience to local residents, who expressed their concerns over the delay.

They complained that the incomplete road has created serious challenges in their daily commute, particularly in reaching schools, hospitals, and local markets.

In this sense, taking immediate notice of the situation, Deputy Commissioner Sohbatpur, Farida Tareen, formally contacted the Executive Engineer (XEN) Roads.

She sought a written explanation regarding the suspension of work and directed the concerned officials to address the matter without further delay.

In this regard, the government officials stated that timely completion of the road would not only ease transportation difficulties but also contribute to the overall development of the area.

Furthermore, the district administration has assured the public that the project will be prioritized and completed at the earliest. In this scenario, the strict monitoring mechanisms are being put in place to ensure that construction work resumes promptly and continues without unnecessary interruptions.

So far, the local residents welcomed the prompt response and supervision by the district administration. They appreciated the timely intervention of the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner, describing it as a step towards resolving long-standing grievances.

In addition, the development projects such as this road are seen as crucial for the socio-economic progress of Sohbatpur district.
