QUETTA: After the humiliating of India in the recent clashes with Pakistan, there have been increased efforts to create anarchy in Balochistan through their proxies on social media sites by spreading misinformation about the security situation in Balochistan.
One example is a video shared by some social media accounts linked with BLA, are spreading false information of occupying Turbat Josak Police Station by banned BLA’s terrorists. This misleading video and false information are circulating from the BLA accounts with the intent to create distrust and undermining the police forces.
These BLA backed accounts falsely accusing and spreading misinformation about the forces that they are failing against the terrorists in Balochistan, which is completely baseless and misleading information.
Burak News Fact Check, however, found that there is no evidence of supporting the claims of occupying Police Station in Turbat by the BLA terrorists and the police station is still under the command of local police force.

Furthermore, experts in strategic communication have pointed out that these attempts are a hallmark of hybrid warfare, where hostile actors seek to exploit social media platforms to create mistrust among the masses towards the forces, with the aim to promote the India backed agenda of turning the citizens against the state institutions.
But the people of Balochistan have now recognized these forces and are not buying their false narrative as they are now aware of their deceptive tactics.
