RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has launched ‘Operation Banyan Marsus’ against India, following the Indian aggression and attacking the three Pakistani airbases.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution commending the armed forces of Pakistan for their professionalism, vigilance, and bravery in defending the country’s sovereignty against unprovoked Indian aggression, according to Radio Pakistan.

In addition, the resolution, presented by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, praised the military’s restraint and responsibility, stressing their “measured and befitting response” to the Indian actions.

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent address, calling it a desperate effort to restore his standing.

During an interview on Geo News program, Asif said, “This is a very desperate attempt to salvage his reputation as a leader.” 

He further added,

“I don’t think there is any substance left in his talk.”

ISLAMABAD: The security sources have strongly rejected recent reports by Indian media alleging drone violations by Pakistan, calling them false, baseless, and misleading.

According to security officials, no Pakistani drone has crossed the border or Line of Control (LoC). They stressed that the Indian media is once again spreading fabricated stories that have no connection to reality.

RAWALPINDI:  Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has termed the Pakistan Army’s “resolute and unified response” during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos as a “defining chapter” in the nation’s military history.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Munir made these remarks during a visit to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi today.

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially resumed Hajj operations following the announcement of a ceasefire between Pakistan and India and the subsequent reopening of Pakistan’s airspace, reported by media representatives.

In this regard, flight operations had been suspended nationwide after Indian missile attacks targeted three Pakistan Air Force bases late last night. 

The attacks were intercepted by Pakistan’s air defence systems, prompting the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) to declare an air emergency.

So far, 1,277 pilgrims have been flown to Saudi Arabia via special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights, with the remaining 1,013 expected to depart in the coming days. In total, 19,669 Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

NEW DELHI: Indian stock markets recorded a sharp decline this week, wiping out approximately $83 billion in market capitalisation, as rising military tensions with Pakistan unnerved investors and sent shockwaves across financial markets.

The downturn intensified on Friday following Pakistan’s launch of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, a large-scale military response to Indian missile strikes earlier in the week. 

The Nifty 50 index dropped by 1.1% on Friday, closing just above the critical 24,000 mark. The BSE Sensex also slid 1.1%, ending the session below the 80,000 level for the first time this month, it is as reported by The Reuters

“With so much escalation, domestic markets are jittery because further retaliatory measures from Pakistan could lead to a prolonged, full-fledged conflict,” said Avinash Gorakshaka, Head of Research at Profitmart Securities.

Furthermore, Sector-wise, 12 of the 13 major indices ended the week in negative territory. Small-cap and mid-cap stocks suffered the most, falling 1.9% and 0.8% respectively, reflecting heightened investor caution.

“There has been no meeting of the National Command Authority, nor is any such meeting scheduled,” Asif told media representatives, dismissing speculation of imminent strategic escalation amid the rapidly evolving conflict.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar indicated a possible off-ramp in the crisis, signalling Islamabad’s willingness to halt further action if India does the same.

 

“If India stops here, we will consider stopping here too,” he stated in a nationally televised interview.

On the other hand, a high-level press conference in New Delhi featured Indian Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Indian Army Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
