Punjab closes educational institutions on May 9 and 10

LAHORE: In light of the current security situation, Punjab’s Education Department has announced the closure of all public and private educational institutions on May 9 and 10.

According to the Punjab Education Minister, the closure applies to all schools, colleges, and universities across the province.

The Secretary of Education confirmed that academic activities will resume on Monday, May 12.

Meanwhile, parts of Lahore’s airspace have also been closed for three days.

This development comes after Pakistan Air Force’s successful strikes that resulted in the destruction of enemy aircraft.

In retaliation, India has resorted to targeting Pakistani cities using drones.

According to the Information Minister, Pakistan Army successfully shot down 25 Indian drones mid-air, though some areas have reported damages due to drone debris.
