WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed possible steps to resolve the situation peacefully between Pakistan and India.
According to US State Departments, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has telephoned the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the situation after the tensions escalate between Pakistan and India.
Both the leaders expressed concern over the ongoing Pakistan-India tension in the South Asia.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised the Saudi role on this occasion and said that the Gulf countries are key to peace and stability in the region. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal also expressed deep concern over the current situation and stressed a diplomatic solution to the issue.

Secretary Rubio and Saudi FM agreed that any kind of tension in South Asia could pose a threat to global peace and both countries should exercise restraint.
