Pakistan, India NSAs contact for first time amid ongoing tensions

ISLAMABAD: The National Security Advisors (NSA) of Pakistan and India had spoke to each other for the first time during the ongoing tension between the two countries.

Giving an interview to the state-run TV channel of Turkey, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that there has been contact between the National Security Advisers of Pakistan and India.

Pakistan National Advisor Lt Gen Asim Malik  and India’s Ajit Doval has reportedly contact after the Indian aggression last night against Pakistan.

Regarding the Indian aggression against Pakistan, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar termed India’s attack and targeting the innocent civilians will not be tolerated and adding that Pakistan has right and fully capable of giving an appropriate response to the Indian actions.

It is to be mentioned here that the tension between the South Asian countries started when the gunmen killed 26 tourists and injured 20 others in Pahalgam area of Indian occupied Kashmir on April 22, later the Indian government started accusations against the Pakistan and tried to link the incident with cross-border activities.

Pakistan’s political and military leaderships categorically rejected the allegations and offer to investigate the incident through UN or any other impartial body.

Last night, the Indian forces attacked six cities of Pakistan and martyred 31 innocent civilians including children and injured 57 others. The world leaders urged both the countries to restrain from any actions that could disrupt the regional and global as the both the countries are declared nuclear powers.
