Quetta Gladiators smash PSL record with 263-run blitz

RAWALPINDI: Quetta Gladiators rewrote history books by setting the highest team total in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history, posting a colossal 263/3 against Islamabad United.

The previous record of 262, set by Multan Sultans in 2023 against Quetta, was comfortably surpassed in a dominant batting show.

Openers Hassan Nawaz and Rilee Rossouw were unstoppable, crafting a blistering 134-run partnership.

Hassan blasted a scintillating century off just 45 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 4 fours, while Rossouw powered his way to 104 off 46 deliveries, laced with 6 sixes and 14 boundaries.

Islamabad United’s bowling unit had no answers, with each bowler conceding over 13 runs per over.

In response, Islamabad United crumbled under pressure, losing 7 wickets for just 58 runs inside the first 10 overs, staring down the barrel of a heavy defeat. Quetta Gladiators, already leading the points table in PSL 10, further cemented their dominance with this record-breaking performance.
