QUETTA: Another youth Feroz Sarban, educated under the Balochistan government’s patronage, was recently killed in a clash with security forces. Despite full state support in pursuing his education career, he chose terrorism and paid with his life.
Feroz started school in Lahore. He later completed higher studies at the University of Turbat. The state gave him scholarships, housing, and all necessary support. These efforts aimed to shape him into a responsible citizen. But he sided with hostile forces in Balochistan instead.
His death is a harsh reality check for those who argue that terrorism stems solely from poverty and lack of opportunity. It shows that terrorism does not always grow from poverty or lack of opportunity. Feroz had every chance to succeed. Still, he chose the path of betrayal and terrorism.
A social media user posted on X saying Feroz Sarban, another Baloch youth who had been studying in Punjab at the expense of the Punjab government by violating the rights of Punjabi students, turned out to be a terrorist and was recently killed in an attack. Feroz was studying in Lahore. Later, he was a BS Political Science student at the University of Turbat.

Pakistan continues to support thousands of Baloch students. The state offers scholarships, housing, and a better future. Yet some reject this support. They join anti-state groups. This choice harms both the nation and themselves.
