US congressman Keith Self warns war between Pakistan and India could be beyond control

ISLAMABAD: US congressman Keith Self has said that we cannot even think of a war between Pakistan and India as both the South Asian countries are nuclear power, if a war starts, no one will be able to control the war.

The US Congressman Keith Self has urged the leaderships of both the countries to resolve the long-standing issues through dialogue as the war is not a good choice to end such conflicts between the two neighboring countries.

While talking with the Pakistani community leaders at the Pakistani American Republican Club, Keith Self said that he hopes that Pakistan and India will reduce tensions and will choose a dialogue to end the issues as this will be a good decision in the interest of two South Asian countries and for the entire region.

Congressman further said that the problems between Pakistan and India have existed for decades and now it is time for both the countries to sit together and find a solution of the problems.

Congressman Jack Bergman, who recently visited Pakistan, was also present on this occasion.

It is to be mentioned here that India has started blame game after the Pahalgam attack in which 26 tourists were killed and 20 others were injured, the Modi-led Indian government trying to link the incident with the cross-border activities and accusing Pakistan for it.

PM Modi chaired a high-level security committee after the incident and announced to suspend the Indus Water Treaty unilaterally and ordered the Pakistani citizens to leave the country after cancelling their visas.

Later, PM Modi authorized the Indian security forces to conduct the revenge operation and decide the target and time.

The Pakistan political and military leaderships categorically rejected the allegations and demanded from the world community to take notice of the Indian aggressions against Pakistan without any evidence.

Pakistan has offered to investigate the Pahalgam incident through United Nations or any other impartial group to find out the truth behind the incident.
