Retired General: Bangladesh should capture India’s northeastern states in case of war

DHAKA: Bangladesh’s retired Major General ALM Fazlur Rehman, a close aide of Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, has said that if India attacks Pakistan, Bangladesh should attack India and take back the India’s seven northeastern states.

In his social media message, ALM Fazlur Rehman has clearly raised voice against India’s intensions of attacking Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack in Indian occupied Kashmir.

He said that Bangladesh will not keep silent if India shows any aggression against Pakistan and it will attack the northeastern seven states of India.

General Fazlur Rehman also suggested that Bangladesh should move towards a formal military alliance with China at this time and immediate talks should begin in this regard. “This is the right time to teach India a lesson, when it is trying to suppress its neighbors in the South Asia”, he said.

It looks India’s dream have been shattered of attacking Pakistan by isolating it and seems to be captured in its own plan as the global community and neighboring countries rejected the India’s intentions of disrupting the peace in the region.

Earlier on April 22, at least 26 tourists were killed and 20 others were injured in an attack in Pahalgam area of IIOJK.

Following the incident, the Indian government started baseless allegations and without any evidence and proof trying to linked it to cross-border activities.

Pakistan’s political and military leadership has rejected these allegations and demanded an investigation under the United Nations or an impartial body.
